Saturday 1-7pm during the BluesFest, Perspective2 (319 E. Grand River Ave.) will be hosting the 2011 Old Town Custom & Vintage Guitar & Stringed Instrument Builders and Restorers Show. Admission is FREE.
See, hear and play custom guitars that are built by some of the best instrument builders in Michigan and the Midwest—all under one roof!
Come see the tools and materials used to build these instruments and talk with luthiers (stringed instrument makers). It’s your chance to ask questions and learn about the fine art of instrument building.
Seminars will also be offered during the show:
- 3:30pm – Meet the Luthier with Brian Galloup
- 5:00pm – Evaluating a Vintage Guitar for Restoration with Joe Konkoly

Welcome to BluesFest 2011
The Old Town BluesFest is a two-day FREE music festival that brings national, regional, and local acts to an audience of roughly 15,000 people from across Michigan and nearby states.
BluesFest’s music truly is living music, history in the making. Each artist at the festival is asked to play an original composition, something that hasn’t been played at any other festival.
Sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I could be there…

The show was a lot of fun. We had over 300 people come through the 2011 event and everyone seemed to enjoy it and find it interesting.
We’re happy to announce that we’ll be holding the show during Blues Fest again next year on Saturday, September 15, 2012. We hope you and your friends can make it!
