One of Michigan’s favorite bands–Frog & the Beeftones–serves up a 100% all beef musical menu and the audience never leaves hungry. High energy, high musical proficiency and an off-the-gauge fun factor make it a great time for both the band and their listeners, as they cover the Blues with a healthy dose of rock and roll and a dash of funk for fun.

They rock mid-Michigan’s nightclub and concert stages pretty much every week — over 150 shows in 2013 alone. They are also a regular on East Lansing’s WMMQ (classic rock) radio.  But they are much more than a local band. Since 1985 the ‘Tones have done shows at clubs, county fairs and festivals around the midwest, with Larry McCray, Rare Earth, Stonewall Jackson, Molly Hatchet, Blue Oyster Cult, Autograph, The Texas Tornadoes, Joe Diffie, Sleepy LaBeef, James Harmon, Bill Kirchen, Jack Green, Edgar Winter, Mitch Ryder, Mountain and other national acts.

The “Frog” is incomparable guitarist Steve Forgey. Super fast (some claim they can’t see his fingers move) and equally accurate, he has a reputation for never missing a note or having a muddy sound. And the ever-amazing Beeftones are “Coop” Cooper on keyboards, Art Phelps on drums, and Mike Jessup on bass.
